Bridgestone is launching the new Battlax Racing Street RS12 in January 2026—a premium tire for sport motorcycles that will be available in Europe and North America, with the Japanese market following in February. Under the motto “From Circuit to Street,” the RS12 combines cutting-edge racing technology with street legality, offering what the manufacturer claims is the best dry grip in the entire Battlax series.

Technological Highlights of the Battlax RS12

    • Motorsport-Derived Compound: The new rubber compound is based on technologies proven in endurance racing. it ensures maximum performance while maintaining high suitability for everyday use.
    • New Tread Design: An optimized groove ratio increases stiffness and enlarges the contact patch at lean angles—providing precise handling and superior grip.
    • HE-MS BELT Construction: For the first time, a flexible steel belt technology is used in the front tire, distributing contact pressure evenly and further enhancing adhesion.

These innovations lead to significantly improved lap times compared to the predecessor (RS11) and ensure consistent performance even after multiple sessions.

Riding Pleasure on the Street and Track

The RS12 is aimed at ambitious riders who frequent both twisty backroads and the racetrack. Thanks to its combination of grip, stability, and comfort, the tire offers a high level of safety and riding enjoyment, regardless of the environment.

    Bridgestone’s Vision: Emotion and Sustainability

With the RS12, Bridgestone pursues not only technical excellence but also a long-term corporate vision. As part of the “Bridgestone E8 Commitment,” the company is committed to a sustainable mobility culture that promotes values such as Emotion, Efficiency, and Empowerment. The Battlax series is a core component of the “Dan-Totsu” strategy, through which Bridgestone aims to position itself as a clear market leader.

    Who is the RS12 for?

The Battlax RS12 is designed for riders who:

    • Ride sportily on the road and seek maximum performance in dry conditions.
    • Plan track days or circuit visits while relying on street-legal tires.
    • Ride high-performance motorcycles, such as the Yamaha R1, BMW S1000RR, Kawasaki ZX-10R, or Ducati Panigale.
    • Value riding fun, precision, and safety at high lean angles and speeds.
